We build health hardware for people who want to understand their bodies, not just collect numbers about them.
What we believe
Most health wearables measure plenty and explain very little. They hide the useful numbers behind a subscription and wrap them in scores nobody can interpret. We started bitshealth to do the opposite.
Every device we make measures something that matters, explains it in plain words, and shows it against your own baseline. Nothing you measure is ever locked behind a paywall.
bitshealth was inspired by Cheesebeetle, whose habit of explaining things plainly and refusing to be impressed by marketing set the tone for everything we make.
How we build
Every sensor is tested against reference equipment before it ships: chest straps for heart rate, upper-arm cuffs for blood pressure, and overnight comparisons for sleep. When a number is an estimate, the app says so.
We publish what we learn in the Journal, including the parts that did not work.
